Natalie Schäfer

Composer

“As soon as I start composing, I enter another world that is so full of colors and possibilities.”

Natalie Schäfer is a German-Czech composer whose music is strongly influenced by synaesthetic connections between image, colour and sound. She has written music for numerous audiovisual productions, including short films, documentaries, video game music and much more. She composes and arranges for various ensembles, ranging from soloists and chamber music to large ensembles such as choirs, big bands, Bavarian brass bands and symphony orchestras. For her, performing and composing go hand in hand. Her music is shaped by her classical training in voice, piano, organ and harpsichord, which she has received since the age of eight.
